Gustavo Cruz comes to BMS by way of Bridgewater State University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. He is currently sitting for his Master of Arts in Vocal Performance at Longy School of Music. A licensed K-12 music teacher, Gustavo has worked with kids of all ages, dedicated to fostering a love of music and creating meaningful musical experiences for others. His past work includes choral directing and teaching general music, at Revere, Norwood and Masconomet Public Schools, and working as a longtime teaching assistant with the Boston Children’s Chorus.

Gustavo enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. He is excited for the opportunity to share his passion for music at Brookline Music School and help cultivate a joyful singing community.

Gustavo is excited to join BMS and to continue introducing young students to the joys of singing.
