Chamber Music Festival

June 29 - July 2, 2026 | 9am-5pm

Ages 9-17

ENROLLMENT DEADLINE: SUNDAY, APRIL 12

"The Brookline Music School Chamber Music Festival was the first chamber music camp I’ve ever been to, and I will definitely be going back! The teachers are amazing, and are always there to answer any questions one might have. I had struggled with music theory in the past and the school offers a class specifically for music theory and because it’s so small we get [individualized] attention. My musicianship improved superbly after this festival."

Due to the many snow days that area public schools have accrued this year, this year’s Chamber Music Festival will be shortened to four days: Monday, June 29, through Thursday, July 2, 2026. Each day will begin at 9am and end at 5pm EXCEPT the final day, which will end at 6pm following the closing concert.

Tuition for the four-day festival is $1100.

This four-day program (9am – 5pm) is designed to immerse students in all aspects of chamber music, including two private lessons, daily chamber ensemble rehearsals and coachings, music theory, ear-training, music history and appreciation, performance practice, large ensembles, performance classes, and sight-reading classes. The program starts on Monday, June 29 and concludes with a performance on Thursday afternoon, July 2 from 4:00-6:00pm.

Chamber Ensembles give students the opportunity to explore great works of music under the guidance of a master teacher in an intimate setting where each student is challenged to broaden their musical perspectives, contribute fully, and inspire and be inspired by the other ensemble members. Students are placed in chamber ensembles based upon their skill level; chamber ensembles meet twice every day.
Students are placed with a teacher for two 50-minute Private Lessons during the program; in each lesson, a master teacher will work with each student on the literature being rehearsed in chamber ensembles.

Music Theory and Ear-Training, Sight-reading, and Technique classes will help students develop a deeper theoretical knowledge of music and dramatically improve their performance skills. Music History and Appreciation Classes expand students’ musical and historical knowledge about music and composers. Performance Classes will give each chamber ensemble an additional opportunity to share their work with faculty and fellow students, discuss the technical and stylistic challenges of their music, and improve their ensemble performance skills. Each day also includes snack breaks, a lunch break (students need to bring a bag lunch), and recreation time.
