Teaching Philosophy

I believe that every student comes with their own musical background and experience, and my goal is to help them reconnect with their musical roots. I underwent the same journey, and have found it to be transformative especially for vocalists. The voice is a special instrument that you cannot hide behind, and where the musical language you know best is brought to the forefront. It is always an emotional journey in connecting to this instrument that is your whole body and being, and forces you to be vulnerable and embrace the most honest expression.

I hope for all of my students to leave the classroom feeling encouraged and inspired, and with the belief that they are on their own unique journey, as no one person’s artistry, taste and journey are comparable to those of another. I hope for them to hone into this essence that makes them who they are, and strive to keep searching for it.
