Brookline Music School offers private lessons for aspiring musicians of all ages, from children as young as 6 to adults seeking to cultivate their musical skills. We offer instruction in a wide array of instruments, ensuring that every student can find their perfect musical match. 

At BMS, we believe that the student-teacher relationship is the cornerstone of musical education. This interpersonal connection fosters a supportive learning environment where students can thrive and develop their skills with confidence. For this reason, we treat each individual student with the care and attention needed to place them with the teacher that best suits their interests and learning style.

Performing frequently is an important component of our program. Our Student Recitals provide the opportunity for student musicians to build confidence and self-assurance through performances supported by our vibrant musical community. Other performance opportunities include Performance Workshops, Salons, Master Classes, Department Events, and our ensemble programs. 

BMS’ private lesson program provides a personalized pathway to musical excellence for students of all ages and levels. All students are also encouraged to take advantage of our Achievement In Musicianship Certificate Program and/or our Young Artist Certificate Program. Summer enrollment is flexible, and schedules are based on students’ and teachers’ availability.
