Eun Kyung Lee

Biography

Eun Kyung Lee is a collaborative pianist and accompanist with an extensive career across opera, choral, chamber, theatrical, and sacred music. She brings a thoughtful, supportive, and highly professional approach to collaboration. An integral part of Eun Kyung’s work has been helping her collaborators prepare for major operatic role debuts, recitals, and recordings. 

For over a decade, Eun Kyung served as staff pianist at the Mannes School of Music, where she prepared singers for recitals, operatic productions, and studio classes. She also worked as an accompanist and organist for the New York Choral Society, performing regularly at major venues including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, as well as on international tours throughout Europe.

Her operatic experience also includes roles as Music Director for Education and Outreach at Opera Memphis, Assistant Conductor at Harlem Opera Theater, and rehearsal pianist with opera companies and summer training programs. She has participated in young artist and fellowship programs with Nashville Opera, Miami Summer Music Festival, Vancouver Summer Opera Studio, and SongFest.

In addition to her work as a pianist, Eun Kyung is an accomplished organist and harpsichordist, appearing in both liturgical and concert settings, including organ and continuo performances. She is a recipient of the Newton Swift Award for Excellence in Piano Performance from the Mannes School of Music.

Eun Kyung earned her degrees from Yonsei University and the Mannes School of Music and is currently based in Boston, where she is pursuing the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in Collaborative Piano at Boston University.
