Esther García Moreno
Teaching Philosophy
I have developed a teaching philosophy that centers around accommodating a variety
of learning styles to ensure that my students experience improvement and joy
through music. I wish to encourage a safe environment for students to connect with
themselves emotionally, mentally and physically; help them become aware of the
relationship between body and mind through the study of piano music; provide them
with the necessary tools to become independent and efficient learners; find visual,
auditory, reading/writing, cognitive, and kinesthetic learning methods to understand
musical concepts; encourage students to apply skills learned during the lesson to
external disciplines, and inspire them to develop their own interpretations and
opinions while promoting creativity, imagination, curiosity, and self-expression.

Kibbe. She works as a piano and voice instructor at Solomon Schechter Day School
and Brookline Music School, as a choir accompanist at Boston Children’s Chorus,
and as a collaborative pianist for student recitals and competitions. She has also

Esther was born in Madrid, Spain, where she completed her Grado Profesional de

a Bachelor of Music in Music Education at the University of North Carolina in
Greensboro. She has performed solo works and participated in opera productions,
choir, orchestra and wind ensemble concerts as a pianist, soprano, and conductor in
the United States, Spain, and Italy.
As an educator, Esther has created and delivered multiple group and private lesson
plans for elementary, middle, and high school students to learn music through
singing, rhythmic games, and phonetic exercises that encourage socialization and
self-awareness. As a passionate collaborative artist and coach, she finds working and
performing with other musicians the most enriching form of music making. Esther
is a versatile musician who enjoys working on diverse repertoire from musical
genres such as classical, jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, and opera, and who
seeks growth from musical experiences and performing opportunities.
