Student Recitals & Performance Workshops
Performance Workshops
Performance Workshops at BMS serve as essential preparation for Student Recitals, offering a supportive environment for students to refine their stage presence and musical presentation. These sessions provide invaluable opportunities for students to perform their pieces before an audience of peers, allowing them to practice stage etiquette and manage performance anxiety.
Faculty members offer constructive feedback, helping students polish their performances in the week(s) leading up to their recitals. Participation in these workshops is a required step in the recital preparation process, ensuring our students are fully prepared and confident when they take the stage for their formal performances.

Student Recitals
Students enrolled in private lessons at BMS have the exciting opportunity to showcase their work in Student Recitals. These recitals offer students the chance to perform and rehearse with an accompanist, both separately and in Performance Workshops. Students are placed on Student Recitals by their teachers, once their teacher has determined that the student’s piece is performance-ready.
Student Recitals play a crucial role in nurturing both emerging and seasoned musicians’ performing skills, composure, and musical development. They provide a supportive environment for students to gain valuable stage experience and refine their craft.
Participation in Student Recitals is required for students pursuing the AIM Certificate Program and/or the Young Artist’s Certificate Program. Additionally, all students must attend a Performance Workshop in order to participate in Student Recitals, ensuring they are well-prepared for their performances.
