Open Strings

Ages 6-8

Open Strings Orchestra is a string orchestra for beginning violinists, violists, and cellists who are working in Suzuki Book I or other similar method books at the same level. Typically students will be between six and eight years of age. Students in this orchestra review position, counting, note reading through unison, two, three, and four part playing.

Parents are welcome to attend rehearsals and work with their children during rehearsal. Students who are working in Suzuki Book I should bring the book to rehearsal. Music will be provided for students who do not use the Suzuki books.

Rehearsals are Friday afternoons from 4:00-4:45pm.
