David has over thirty-five years of distinguished and successful leadership in independent schools. Before joining Brookline Music School in August of 2023, David was Head of School at the Cambridge Friends School, and from 1992 through 2018, David was a deeply loved and highly successful teacher and leader at the Rivers School Conservatory, the community music school of the Rivers School in Weston, MA. During his 26-year tenure at Rivers, he expanded enrollment and offerings and fostered excellence in teaching.
