Adela Holahan

Teaching Philosophy

My primary goal as a teacher is to guide my students to find their own power as a singer. I believe that every voice is unique and valuable, and I want to help my students find and embrace their natural sound, building confidence in their own expression. I encourage my students to trust their instrument, and explore its capabilities with curiosity and care. I believe that all singers should have an understanding of how to work their voice in a safe and healthy manner, which is accomplished through incorporation of voice science. This knowledge enables vocalists to sing healthily and consistently throughout their entire lives. I firmly believe that learning to sing is a process of self-discovery, and I strive to help my students unlock their full potential—not just as singers, but as individuals capable of great things!
