Rachael Lindsey
Teaching Philosophy
As a teacher, I seek to challenge with love. I believe that the best learning and growth happen when kindness is at the front, so I hold myself to a high standard of compassion. I believe that students can be inspired to become their very best, when they understand that they have high potential and worth. I seek to foster a positive sense of self-worth in each one of my students, and give them a strong belief in their own abilities to overcome challenges and achieve greatness. I strive to help my students develop the technical ability to efficiently and effectively traverse their instrument comfortably. This allows them to eventually be able to play absolutely any repertoire with greater virtuosity and expressivity. My overall goal as a teacher is to give young students the technical, musical, and emotional skills to become successful for life.
