Ukulele Adventure
Age 6-8
Ukulele Adventure introduces students to the fundamentals of music and techniques for playing the ukulele. This engaging class offers a well-rounded approach to learning this popular instrument.
In this program, students will:
- Learn basic ukulele chords and strumming patterns
- Develop proper playing technique
- Read simple musical notation
- Play popular and accessible tunes
- Gain confidence in group performance
- Explore basic music theory concepts
The small class size (maximum of six) allows for individual attention while enjoying the benefits of learning and playing ukulele in a group setting.
Term I focuses on foundational skills, while Term II expands to more advanced techniques and repertoire, providing a comprehensive ukulele education.
Ukulele Adventure is designed to nurture musical growth in a fun, interactive environment. This class serves as an excellent starting point for young musicians, with the option to easily transition to private lessons for continued musical development at the end of the year.
Note: Students need to have their own ukulele. BMS recommends the Mahalo Rainbow Series, which is easily purchased at many music stores and online.

FEES & AID
- There is a once-yearly non-refundable $45 registration fee per family.
- There is a $20 fee per term for payment plans.
- No registration fee is charged for summer study.
