Kavita Shankar

Teaching Philosophy

I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for my students to explore their creativity, and feel excited to learn new things. My goal is to meet each of my students where they are based on their unique personality and learning style. Technique and posture are an important focus of my lessons and are essential for long term success. I want my students to be as comfortable as possible when they play, so technique and posture are an important focus in my lessons and are essential for long term success.
