SUMMARY:Jazz Jam Drop-In
DESCRIPTION:Drop-in Jam sessions are monthly\, hands-on sessions designed to help students build confidence improvising over simple chord progressions. Sessions will explore different scales\, chords\, and simple melodic and rhythmic techniques – including repetition\, variation\, syncopation\, and use of chord and neighbor tones – to create musical ideas and develop them in real time. All ages are welcome\, with Sunday sessions geared towards younger students and Friday sessions for older students. \nStudents should be able to find any pitch on their instrument and comfortably play a few scales. $25 per session. \nTo learn more or register.
